Swift FF - Highly annoyed at the new patch!2010-03-29 00:00:00You make my point exactly. Why be in the Outlands if you can just buy what you need and bypass it? Make whatever Flying Form or Mount in LK be based on what you have earned (not bought) in the Outlands. This will keep people in the Outlands doing what needs to be done in order to advance in the LK. I have 10k in G so this not about money. It just seems to me that Blizzard is making things a little too easy to level and get perks. There can be a middle ground between easy and immpossible - a tough challa...

Recent updates to official FAQ2010-01-07 00:00:00Features:[/p]
How do mounts work in World of WarcraftWorld of Warcraft offers a variety of mounts for the different races of Azeroth (the world on which the game takes place). For example, Humans generally ride horses, and Orcs tend to favor their trusted wolf mounts. Mounts are a great way to travel the world for mid-to-high-level characters. With extensive training, riding specialists will be able to use mounts not generally available to their particular race, but this ability will be rare.
What are cities like in World of Warcraft?
The cities in World of Warcraft are large, sprawling areas, each with their own distinctive architecture and style. Cities are where players go to train in their professions, shop for rare goods at local vendors, develop their trade skills, obtain new and exciting quests, buy and sell goods with other players, construct and maintain their personal dwellings, and sometimes, even participate in unique city adventures.
How do guilds work?
Players can band together to form guilds, which are large social groups, in order to help each other progress in the game. Players get to choose an emblem and color combination unique to their guild, embroidered on special guild tabards that players can displa...

Blizzard Uses Positive Words to Describe Next MMO2009-11-06 00:00:00Blizzard used last night's launch of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King to do a little more teasing about its "next-gen MMO" in the works, adding "cool" and "new" to the list of words deemed appropriate to describe the project about which little is known.
"We want to create a great game," said Blizzard COO Paul Sams to VG247, adding, "Something that's cool, and new, and different, and kind of next generation in ter...
The Demoman: Tomb Raider: Underworld2009-09-28 00:00:00Christopher Livingston is a freelance writer with plenty of time for games but not enough money to buy them. Thus was born The Demoman; a shadowy yet helpful figure dedicated not to helping you decide which expensive games to buy, but which free game demos to play.
The great thing about Tomb Raider games is that they give you an outlet for the inevitable rage that builds up from playing Tomb Raider games. That outlet is Lara Croft herself: she's just so enjoyable to punish when you're pissed off.
You can run her into walls, drown her in the surf, or make her fall to her death from clifftops--and as gracefully as she springs around in the demo of Tomb Raider: Underworld, man, she falls like a fucking brick when you want her to. Arms pinwheeling, legs kicking, she plummets face-first into the ground with a satisfying thud. Much in the same way World of Warcraft now lets you play Peggle to stave off the boredom of playing World of Warcraft, Tomb Raider lets you terrorize Lara to relieve the frustration of playing Tomb Raider.
When Lara isn't dying accidentally or being killed on purpose, she's hunting through ruins in Thailand, extinguishing whatever wildlife she comes acr...
SSI's "Gold Box" Series2009-09-18 00:00:00Dungeons & Dragons is no stranger to computers. Like Star Trek, the D&D experience is one of the first things that young programmers in the mid-'70s tried to simulate on mainframe computers -- going back to the creation of games like DND and NetHack. All of these games had a problem, though. The computers of the day were simply not powerful enough to do more than represent the mere basics of Dungeons & Dragons. What players usually got was some type of warrior onscreen in a randomly generated dungeon that fought randomly generated creatures for randomly generated treasures. Even if the particular game you were playing simulated gaining experience levels, there was never any sense of story advancement or accomplishment. In short, what was missing was the adventure.

Fast forward many years to 1985. TSR, the Wisconsin company that produces Dungeons & Dragons, is tired of watching games like the Ultima series -- that are, in part, based on concepts "liberated" from D&D -- make oodles of money. Meanwhile, the original game languishes in th...

How to Obtain the Gold Feather in Eagles' Peak Quest - Runescape2009-08-15 00:00:00This article is originated from www.brighthub.com.Gold Feather
As soon as you enter this portal, youl see a birdseed holder. Go ahead and take several handfuls of birdseed, at least six or seven.

Head west a little ways and your path will be blocked by a bird next to a bird feeder. Back up a few steps and travel south until you see another bird feeder next to a track on the ground that is directly south of that bird. Use some birdseed in that bird feeder. Adding birdseed to the feeders attracts the birds. In this case, the gate blocks the path of the bird to the north, so it will return to its original position. However, a bird from the west will be attracted to the feeder and stay there.

Head west in the direction that bird came from. Then travel a bit north and you'll see a lever on the other side of the track on the ground. Pull down that lever and a nearby gate will close.

Return to the direction from whence you came and note that the gate that had blocked the on...
