Moonkin PvP weapons

Hi there
Getting the PvP weapons for a PVE build is obviously something a lot of us do.
For a moonkin is the Merciless staff or the Merciless Gavel + an offhand better?
I still need +hit and I know the staff comes with more up front, but... well... it looks horrible tbh.
If I go with the on hander which off hand is good? Anything from Kara?-Do you have that dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screami...
