How do you get that tanks are losing 30 threat? The change to Blessing of Salv is so that paladins aren't required in aids any more; no class is supposed to be required in any size raid. Tanks are having a lot of extra threat "baked in" to bear form/defensive stance/I forget the paly ability.
Basically, the idea is that since defense rating is such a gimpy stat to a class that can't parry or block, Druids shouldn't need it. Also, it makes...
Swift FF - Highly annoyed at the new patch!

You make my point exactly. Why be in the Outlands if you can just buy what you need and bypass it? Make whatever Flying Form or Mount in LK be based on what you have earned (not bought) in the Outlands. This will keep people in the Outlands doing what needs to be done in order to advance in the LK. I have 10k in G so this not about money. It just seems to me that Blizzard is making things a little too easy to level and get perks. There can be a middle ground between easy and immpossible - a tough chall...
Nurturing Instinct question
2010-03-27 00:00:00
Druid in question is only level 33 at the moment, and his gear is mostly instance blues and some quested greens. Since the plan is to keep leveling up, I haven't tried to get multiple sets just yet. I plan on doing so once I get to Outland, though.
So, at this point, my gear isn't very good (gold is in short supply given it's a new server for me) and I haven't even thought about getting different gear sets for soloing versus healing. - 80 feral/resto druid

Agility vs Attack Power
2010-03-20 00:00:00
yeah, ever since the patch, there is a reason to get AP gear. Generally, If you have two pieces of armor, say... Crusader's Chestpiece of Power or of Agility, it'll be +50 AP or +25 Agility. Before the patch, Agility was CLEARLY the way to go, since 1 agi=2 RAP, you got 50 RAP from it, as well as armor and crit bonuses. Now, it's 1 agi= 1 RAP, so you only get 25 RAP from 25 agility.
So it's really important to have a good balance between agility and AP gear. If you have all agility, you'll have a high crit rate, and armor as well as dodge rating, but no power behind it. If you have all AP gear, you'll hit hard, but hardly ever get critical, and you're kinda screwed if you have to get into melee range.
As for stamina, that's debatable. A lot of hunters will say that stamina is important for when your pet can't hold...
Pet-natural armor is it worth it?
2010-03-19 00:00:00
chimerasc wrote:ok my brother is 48 and with his current level of natural armor his pet has 4,989 AC and mitigates 49ish damage
my pet is 68 and has 10,248 AC and mitigates 49ish damage also
my question is this. does ac only mitigate damage? or does this extra ac my pet has do nothing extra for my pet. is 49ish damage mitigation the max?
if it doesnt do anything more then it seems to me that i should drop the natural armor and max stamina and work up resistances.
thx for any feedback

Armor mitigates physical damage. It does not reduce magic damage.
More armor mitigates more damage up to 75 reduction. At that point, extra armor does not reduce incoming physical damage.
